Finally, India have something to cheer about as they managed to beat the hosts Proteas in the final test at the Johannesburg and thus continued their unbeaten record at the Johannesburg in test matches. What made the win Possible ..
Rahane , Bhuvi in ..MUCH NEEDED ONES !!
For the first time in the series, overseas expert of the Indian team managed to make it to the playing eleven. Yes am talking about none other than Rahane. And though he couldn’t make an impact in the first innings, he was able to prove his importance as he scored a quick fire 50 odd runs on the really bouncy and an uneven wicket and thus giving captain Kohli the much needed support in the batting department which lacked in the previous matches. Thus India was able to post a descent target which the bowlers defended successfully. And yes the Bhuvi was back as well. After having an outstanding spell of bowling in the first match, he was the most unexpected player to miss the second test. In this match as well he bowled quite a descent spell of bowling. Thus India ticked all the boxes required for winning a test match that include bowlers who could take 20 wkts, batting partnerships and also accurate fielding and catching, as a result of which India manged to win the test. So the Indian team finally had something to cheer about on the tour.
ONE-DAYERS BEGINS ON THE RIGHT TRACK !!
After the not so good test series the Indian team came together really strong in the first ODI as they chased down the target of 270 odd runs with ease. After having started well the Indian bowlers were taken to attack in the end overs by the Proteas skipper Faf. The target was not an easy one as the wicket was slightly on the slower side thus making the life of the batsmen difficult at the beginning of the innings though once they had got their eyes in it was run feast as the ball other then its slowness and odd bounces the ball was having no movement or help from the pitch. The young spin twins Chahal and Kuldeep were among the wickets and also economical. Faf scoring yet another century guided his team to a formidable total though it did not prove to be enough to stop the blades of kohli and co. as banking on skipper’s century and Jinx’s 70 odd runs they chased the target with ease. Hoping to see similar performance in the upcoming matches too…
ENGLAND GAVE AUSSIES A HARD TIME …
That’s rightly written the visitors beat the hosts 4-1 and thus winning at-least the One day series after the massive defeat in the Ashes earlier this summer. The current world cup holders looked like the weak time right from the start of the one day series and after loosing first three matches they could never recover from that though they had one consolidating win in the 4th match of the series. No Australian batsmen were at their best. Similar was the case with their bowlers. And exact opposite with the English side as every match one of the players performed and took the game away from the hosts. This was the story throughout the series. Thus it resulted in a 4-1 loss for the Aussies.
SL WIN THE TRI-NATION CUP..
After a shaky start and loosing to both the opposition the Lankan tigers bounced back strong as they won the rest of the matches convincingly and thus knocking Zimbabwe out of the contention. They continued their form into the finals & thus beat Bangladesh quite easily. Finally after a disastrous 2017 and bad start to 2018 the Lankan had something to cheer about. It could also prove as a boost as they won the series after going down to both the teams in the initial matches.
AUCTION FEEDBACK :
The Auction of the cash rich league took place in Bengaluru where the team franchises were bidding for the players they need. Also this being a mega auction the teams had to build their team right from scratch as just minimal retention were permitted. The franchise went all guns blazing for buying the player that they had planned of having in their team.
The squads look well balanced as all the top players have been well shuffled and thus it would be exciting to watch how the play goes on

AUS-ENG-NZ TRI-SERIES !!
This is the most awaited series as the three heavy weights face of in a T-20 battle in the Australian islands. This would be first of such a tri-nation series that would be taking place. Looking at the recent form, the home side Aussies look to be the weakest among the three teams. Thus a fierce battle of the next-gen players awaits us this month.

So after a fierce competition of cricket among the teams in Australia Hobart hurricanes and Adelaide Strikers for the first time since its installation managed to make it to the finals. Both the teams have their players in top form and thus it will be a battle to watch out for. Thus it is expected to be the perfect finish to the carnival of cricket in Australia.

So the Indian team probably the perfect team up to this point of time would knock their horns with the Australian side for the u-19 title in the land of the Kiwis. Indian team has looked well balanced as they have gone past the best of the teams with ease. Hope they show the same dominance in the finals too as the recent track record of the Indian team has not been great in the recent times as they have lost quite a few ICC knock out matches. Hope this team of the next gen champs breaks the trend. On the other hand the Australian team after quite a few ups and downs just made it to the finals. So a tough match awaits us. !
